Yoga
is the systemic spiritual and physical awakening of body and
mind. It helps us harmonize our bodies with the environment
and open our minds to our unlimited inner horizon of spiritual
potential. Living Yoga empowers us to know from the depths
of our being, our real nature and our deep interconnectedness
with all living beings. Though this inner journey you will
become more conscious of your behavior in the world, and how
the behavior of things outside of yourself can affect you.
Yoga
Beginner is a study of Hatha Yoga poses with a focus on
alignment for safety. A practice for relaxation and joy of
movement. Great for beginners as well as students comfortable
in their own practice.
Yin
Yoga is known as a slow, deep and meditative practice.
Long held passive stretches (usually seated or supine) stretch
and rehabilitate the connective tissue of the body that form
our joints.
Vinyasa
Yoga is a fusion of active vinyasas that build strength
and heat in the body, with a creative, fluid sequencing of
postures that promote strength as the heat encourages flexibility.
This flow is nourished and the postures connected by the meditative
power of one's own breath. The physical release combined with
the mental/spiritual intent of this practice creates emotional
balance and integration of body, mind and spirit.
PILATES
MOVEMENT TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CORE
Pilates
changes muscle recruitment patterns, correcting common muscle
imbalances, restoring good alignment and natural normal movement.
Benefits include:
greater strength and muscle tone
more efficient respiratory, lymphatic and circulatory
systems
better posture
a flatter stomach and trimmer waist
improved flexibility
less incidence of back pain
increased joint mobility
lower stress level
PALMING
EXERCISE
Sit
comfortably with the elbows supported by a firm table or pillow,
and gently, without any pressure, cover your closed eyes with
your palms to prevent light from coming through. Then imagine
the color of total blackness. The purpose is to nourish the
eyes through increased circulation and give the eye's muscles
and nerves conscious rest through relaxation, because even
when we sleep they are active through rapid eye movement (REM)
dreams. Palming brings balance and center to the body.
